Holy Moly - Atlantic Boat's latest Duffy 35 is launched

Brooklin, Maine, August 4, 2011 -- Atlantic Boat Company launched George Morris' new HOLY MOLY, hull number 393 of the DUFFY 35 model.

George approached Atlantic Boat with a challenge: build me a DUFFY 35 able to cruise long-range at 22 knots fully loaded at 80% engine load with large fuel capacity and fuel economy. The main goal was weight reduction, with sound reduction as a secondary goal.


The Lizy T. Launched by Atlantic Boat Company

Tom and Beth Jacobs commissioned Atlantic Boat to build the LIZZY T. Hailing from Marblehead, MA, this Duffy 37 was built with fishing on their minds. Constructed of light-weight, foam-cored composite, this boat is very well equipped indeed: QSM 11 Cummins 670hp engine, 350 gallons fuel, 100 gallons water, insulated fish hold with chiller plates, and live well.


Fair Warning, a Duffy 37 Launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

This Duffy 37 was built for tuna fisherman Roger Lyman and hails out of Bayshore, NY. With plans to complete his own interior over time, FAIR WARNING was built 'bare bones'. Features include a QSC 8.3 Cummins 540hp engine, insulated fish hold, Robertson autopilot, and Raymarine electronics.


The RICHARD B. EDWARDS was built for the Penikese Island School in Massachusetts. This BHM 36 is a Coast Guard approved passenger boat certified for 29 passengers and serves as the general transportation boat for this high school on an island in Buzzard's Bay.


Talisman, a Duffy 26 launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

TALISMAN was built to play. Chris and Maureen Carsel built their DUFFY 26, in part, because as a musician living in the Virgin Islands Chris wanted the ability to move about the local island clubs at his convenience.


Armando Palha took his new Duffy 42 to Belem, Brazil. This sport fishing boat has a C15 850hp Caterpillar engine which produces a 22 knot cruise at 70% engine load, 8KW Westerbeke generator, air conditioning, Raymarine electronics, radar, and autopilot.


SÄVENÄS, a Duffy 31 launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

SÄVENÄS will spend her time in Florida. Jim and Doris Green are not new to Downeast boats and when they decided to sell their BHM 36 and go a bit smaller they knew just what they wanted to build: a DUFFY 31.


Two's Company, a Duffy 50 launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

Ray and Donna Kurlak, of Baltimore, MD, built TWO'S COMPANY with cruising the intercoastal waterway on their minds. TWO'S COMPANY is a custom DUFFY 50, a stretched version of the Duffy 48.


Dreamcatcher, a Duffy 31 launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

DREAM CATCHER was built for Walter and Barbara Sexton of Stockton Springs, Maine. This DUFFY 31 doubles as a pleasure / sport fishing boat.


Ibis, a Duffy 31 launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

Fred and Anne Faffley, of Annapolis, MD, wanted a pleasure boat to cruise the Chesapeake. Their DUFFY 31, is a well-appointed power boat: Yanmar 440 engine, 3.5KW generator, air conditioning, bow and stern thrusters, Raymarine electronics, and autopilot.


Kingfisher, a Duffy 26 built and launched by Atlantic Boat Company in 2008

Spencer and Dora Dalton built KINGFISHER to cruise Lake Rosseau & Goergian Bay in Rosseau, Ontario. A DUFFY 26, KINGFISHER has a 260hp Yanmar engine, v-berth foward, full head, galley, Raymarine electronics, and teak and rubber sole.


Chuck Pollard's DUFFY 31 is currently under construction and due to be launched before the end of 2008. Yet un-named, the boat will house a 440 Yanmar engine, v-berth forward with a large hanging locker and bureau, head with shower, galley-up, bow thruster, 30amp shore power, and Raymarine electronics.
